Restaurant Pllek in Amsterdam

Restaurant Pllek

Pllek is a really nice place, it’s located a the north side of Amsterdam at the IJ river. Especially in spring and summer, this is an awesome place to chill with a spectacular view at Amsterdam from the riverside.

Pllek is easy-going bar restaurant and partly built from shipping containers due to its location at the NDSM island which is the old shipyard of Amsterdam. This part of Amsterdam is in a new development process now.

But even during the winter time, it’s still a lovely place!

You can even have breakfast at this restaurant (from 09:30 AM onwards) and of course, it’s open for lunch and dinner. Not that hungry? Just go for a drink and take some snacks as a side dish and enjoy the ambiance. If you just go for some drinks and snacks, you can enjoy the beach in front of Pllek!

For dinner you can choose from some 6 main courses. Each day they serve some specials too and they serve vegetarian meals.

Apart from being a restaurant, it’s also a venue. Movies on the beach, cultural programs, yoga, and live music on stage. Check the Facebook page for all events.

To get there you need to go by boat ;-). Go to the back of Amsterdam Central Station where you will find the free ferries which will bring you across. Take the ferry to NDSM (the left one). Once you arrive across, walk to the right. Remember you check the time of the last ferry back to Central Station!
